Interview: Teresa Palmer

Teresa Palmer has come a long way since 2006, when she was plucked from obscurity to star in 2:37 without an audition.

Since then, the up and coming actress has appeared in Justice League: Mortal with Adam Brody, December Boys opposite Daniel Radcliffe and Bedtime Stories with Russell Brand. Her next movie, Kids in America, is due for release in 2011.

Palmer jetted briefly into Sydney recently to help iconic Aussie beauty brand Jurlique celebrate its 25th anniversary. Marie Claire caught up with the busy actress to find out a few of her favourite things..

Best album on my ipod:
Toss up between The Greatest by Cat Power and Florence and the Machine’s Lungs.

Best way to spend a weekend:
A summer weekend in Adelaide by the river with friends, family, dogs and a couple of jet skis.

Best childhood memory:
Every weekend when I was around 9 years old my best friend and I would have a sleepover on Friday night after school, go to horse riding lessons on sat and then stay up and watch unsolved mystery movies whilst eating pikelets!

Best item of clothing in my closet:
I really can’t pick just one so either my Camilla and Marc lace bodysuit, my sass n bide long black jumpsuit or my floral vintage jumpsuit.

Best film I’ve ever seen:
Romeo & Juliet directed by Baz Luhrman

Best beauty saviour I own:
Jurlique’s Herbal Recovery Gel. I call it my miracle lotion, it can fix any skin problem!

Best lesson I’ve learnt the hard way:
Don’t talk about your private life in the media!

Best fan story:
When the sweetest little girl in an Adelaide Shopping Centre came up to me and kept telling her mum that I was the real “Violet Nottingham” (my character from the children’s film Bedtime Stories). She was talking a million miles an hour and kept quoting all of my lines, it was super cute!

Best splurge:
My upcoming trip to Africa.

Best romantic moment:
Falling asleep cuddled in a hammock in the afternoon sun with my boyfriend.
